The antidote to hate is unconditional love. Love is very filling no matter how it is served. Anything that is NOT served with love will leave you empty ~Dr. J~
Congratulations to our 2017-2023 BMPMHS psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner graduate school interns. Good luck with your board certification. I have confidence you will do great and become the change, as promised and as Will by GOD, Himself! Hooah! We already miss you all and as always, you remain part of our Beautiful Mind PMHS family.
Dr. MURIANA JEANNITON, DNP, CNP, PMHNP-BC
BMPMHS CEO/OWNER, US ARMY MAJOR AND EXECUTIVE OFFICER (XO)
Beautiful Mind Psychiatric Mental Health Services, LLC., provides an active and critical component for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student clinical education requirement for graduation. Students engage in an evidence-based and wholistic care approach to promote optimal mental wellness for patients while gaining extensive and meaningful clinical experience.
BMPMHS follows The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA), as the principal authority for psychiatric diagnoses. During the clinical rotation, students will be supervised by an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified PMHNP on a 2:1 ratio. Students will perform both in-patient and telehealth encounters to build practical experience as they perform psychiatric mental health examinations, develop a differential diagnosis based on the patient’s chief complaint, write complete psychiatric interviews and progress notes, develop psychiatric mental health care plans, recommend pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapeutic interventions, and build a trusting and meaningful therapeutic relationships.
BMPMHS places significant emphasis on expanding a patient’s knowledge of their diagnosis and the intended effects and possible or expected side effects of treatment. Students will discuss appropriate academic and practical findings with the patient, the different types of treatments, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological, develop the best care plan with the patient, and what they can expect to experience while following the care plan. Historically, nurses have performed a critical and important role in patient education. At BMPMHS, students will find better educated patients are more acceptable to treatment and experience a higher degree of improvement.
Per semester/quarter, BMPMHS requires a $1000 honorarium from students requesting 120hrs or less and a $1500 honorarium from students requesting more than 120 hours and no greater than 180. Maximum hours on a case by case basis is 200 per semester for a flat fee of $2000. Payment is due on the first day of clinicals and is non-refundable. If your university/college offers an honorarium or other incentives that is equal to or greater to the fee, this fee is not required.
Each student will be individually reviewed.
Prospective students should keep in mind, BMPMHS treats adolescent patients (Ages 13-17) & on some occassions, 10 or above. However, this population type is limited in numbers for new intakes especially during their school breaks (summer time). BMPMHS will do everything it can to meet your program's requirements so it is essential you convey them beforehand. Otherwise, treatment across the lifespan is what we do best.
Students will be scheduled at least two (2) 8hr days per week for the normal 12-13 week semester. Any accelerated programs or requirement needs will be addressed on an individual basis with the preceptor.
